Hi they weren't LED bulbs it seems they don't seem to exist? He's got led sidelights and 70% brighter xenon ones.

Sorry about the misinformation I presume that you could get H4 bulbs in LED if they make them for fogs.

No, thats fine Dan, the xenon are what im after..i'd love to put the fog light ones in but apart from not having a main beam the plod over here would pull me in no time!!

Right then, pics as requested - first few were taken in the day light, and the rest in the dark, although the camera never takes true life pics of lights in the dark - but you get the idea.....

if you go for those bulbs dont get the cheap ones, got a set from a local garage claiming 70% extra light or whatever and didnt see any difference to putting a new set of normal bulbs in. Thankfully mine were free ;)

There are 3 types:
55w claiming more light --> have tried them more then ones (different types), but don't seem to do that much difference.
100w --> haven't tried them yet. Maybe those are the ones to go for.
Real Xenon replacement/aftermarket --> wiring/fitment is a bit more complex, not just fitting a new bulb.

Stuart,
What type are you running?

Koen

In the UK
HID lights can only be fitted on cars with self levelling headlight systems.
100watt bulbs are illegal for use on public highways.
Go for the Philips or Halfrauds +90% bulbs.
I have them on 3 of my motors - make a hellovva difference. Make sure yo wiring is in tip top order tho.
Discos are notorios for crap lights due to power going thru the switches. Modify the circuit to use relays. See the FAQ section.

Wouldnt bother with the 100w either, have heard that they are not legal in this country to be used as headlights although my father in law tried a set in an x-type and had a couple of problems (cant remember exactly but think it caused problems with the wiring) but he did buy the cheapies from fleabay
