I am a Brit but live on Nevis in the Eastern Caribbean. I drive a 2006 Freelander 1 2.5 V6 which I bought new - it was one of the last off the production line before the Freelander 2 was launched. In the 12 years that I owned it, I have done 45,000 miles - not bad on an island measuring 6 miles by 8 miles!

No LR Dealer here but I do have a very good mechanic who has managed, until now, to solve any issues I have had. I need help but understand I need to go to somewhere else to post details!

Body work in a tropical climate takes a hammering - here it is just after having a re-spray (carried out under a mango tree but he did a great job!)

I'm only new here myself, but welcome.
I think it's interesting that resprays in hot countries (Nice job BTW) seem almost normal, whereas here in the UK it's quite a 'big thing'

My fault really. I had a garage but it doubled as a workshop and I couldn't be bothered to use it unless I was away off island. I have now have a splendid car port and use it every day - easy to use and it keeps the LR cool as well as protecting the paint work.
