Hi there,

Yes, I'm from The Netherlands and the proud owner of a Range Rover Vogue that was built in '05 but model year '06 (with the touch screen etc.)

I became a total enthusiast and now do the majority of the maintenace on the car myself, even some small repairs.

My off-road capabilities are minor, I use it mainly for driving from/to work.

Thanks for any replies to my questions and I try to share my knowledge as much as possible to help others!

Ommerenveld I had to look up :confused: Even though The Netherlands is a small country, it's approximately an hour drive from where I live!

Does your friend drive Landrover as well, or he's not a car-friend :)

He has a defender, worked as a car mechanic and is an instructor for land rover experience Holland... So no, he isn't a car person :lol:

I have friends in Haarlem too :)

But with reference to my other post, is there anybody here that can share his experience towards the park heating on the Vogue '02-'09 as well? :)

I really like to know how hot the cooling fluid should become after the default 30 minutes. Or for those who have no idea, will the car be "comfortably warm" if the outside tem is -3 degrees, or not really?

And the 2nd question then is: is the change over valve installed? (according to the workshop manual, sometimes it it, sometimes it's not). In my case both the engine and interior are heated (or should be heated....:lol:)

I do not know the definitive answer on your car, but it will depend on the temperature control settings in the device controller. For example, electric block heaters in Canada keep the engine coolant at 30C or thereabouts, Webasto/Eberspacher heaters used on boats are usually set to 60/65C water temperature.
I would not expect a heater in a car to reach that temperature, 30 to 40C I would have though to be as high as it would go giving a quick warm up.
