Hello all, just joined here today and thought I would say "hi"...
Picked up my 2001 Freelander yesterday - bought with FSH and the HG done last year - paperwork complete with large bill for the HG work!
I have bought the Freelander after moving into the countryside and finding that my little MR2 Roadster would be a complete wreck after the winter, thats if we survived colliding with one of the many deer in the area! So after owning 2 x MR2 Roadster with a Boxster inbetween them, I now find myself able to see over hedges when I am driving!!
Love the Freelander, makes me drive sensibly (well sort of, put my CG lock on the seatbelt today and throwing it into corners a bit more now!).
Just one niggle with the car - bit of lumpy tickover, sort of oscilates - fine when driving though. Just wondered where the MAF is on a 1.8 - a quick blast of carb cleaner through it might be worth doing if it has been neglected for a while and might do the trick...just read about depressing the pedal 5 times and restarting - will try that at work tomorrow!
Anyway - enough waffle - hope to have fun on the forum and learn more about my 4 x 4.
Regards
Liz
