Well thats a fair bit of work but cant wait to see and hear the v8 lol.... well as always with these things it looks ok until you start digging around.
So far I've got the engine running, new points leads plugs. Then found one of the carbs was flooding because the float was full of fuel so I've now rebuilt both carbs. Replaced all the lights, all were corroded and not working 100%.
Replaced the rear seatbox cross member. Welded up various parts of the chassis after the screw driver went straight through them. Replaced a few split radius arm bushes. Un- seized the brakes. Replaced diff and gearbox fluids. Or rather filled the gearbox as it had no oil in it (thought it sounded noisy on start up).
Sorted out a leaking hub seal. Hmmm I'm sure there's more hehe.
Should be ready for MOT after this weekend. I've just got to get carbs back on and tuned. Weld up one of the out riggers, replace an exhaust mount and a fuel line and I should be ready to go.
Last time I drove it was April and the council had put in a diversion round the bad puddle while they fixed it. It was perfectly drive able at that time.
We can only assume they would have got it fixed by now.
His names Andy lolThanks Dave.
