We are doing a Greenlane trip on Saturday 19th August, does anyone fancy joining in? We have room for a couple of vehicles, first come first served and it is in the Wiltshire area. Rough plan is to start just after lunch, have a picnic dinner and then finish in the dark some time after sunset.

In general the trip will be suitable for standard Defenders or Series vehicles. The lanes will, hopefully, be as scratch free as possible and suitable for beginners, any lanes which look like they could be damaging we will reverse out or bypass. Of course like any trip you may well collect the odd scratch here or there.
You will need:
* Fuel
* Food
* Front and rear recovery points in case you or someone else break down and ideally a suitably rated tow rope/shackles.

You won't need any of the following:
* Lift kits
* Over sized tyres
* Winches
* Snorkels
* Waffles boards
* Any other such things related to the above!

Let me know if you would like to join and I can provide more details.

The general idea is to start from Marlborough and head up country towards Lambourn area and then up to Streatley, maybe.
Should, in general, be suitable for most standard vehicles.
Will most likely be dark by the time we finish but anyone who comes along is welcome to peel off home whenever they like.

Good trip out around Wiltshire yesterday.
Unfortunately the RRover which came along had the osf suspension airbag deflate so had to go home on a recovery truck.
Lanes were pretty dry except the odd puddle from the heavy rain the night before.
Bit of encroaching vegetation on some of the lanes and one lane was 1st gear low range due to the undergrowth completely obscuring any ruts.
One disturbing thing we came across was a cable, bit like a washing line, tied across the entrance to a lane off the Ridgeway. This had the possibility to injury a biker/cyclist if they didn't see it. Removed it before thinking I should have taken photographic evidence first.
Anyway a good day out and didn't finish until gone 10pm.
