Bet they don't limit group size to 4 or 5 vehicles.
all of cannock chase is controlled by the forestry commision and there are always plenty of their bods around to tell you off it you dare venture near anywhere interesting - but because the place is massive you can usually find a few reasonable routes - but the problem is that none of it is documented so unless you have a tame forestry commision man who knows i've found it a bit hard work trying to get anywhere - and when you do manage to find a good route there's usually a posse waiting for you to record your departure

I've emailed the Forestry Commission asking if they have or need permission. As the FC run offroading days in the chase them selves. I've also asked if the routes the FC use are private or Boats/ORRPs

We are limited by the forestry commission as to the numbers of vehicles allowed however we have had a group of 10 before.
When we have a group of this size we do put on a little different day out for them.
No clues, even for the orginiser, but believe me it is different and most enjoyable.
All routes are private and held within the Forestry Commissions Special Events Section. Behind closed gates. With permission of course.
This area is generally closed to vehicular traffic.
What kind of vehicles are you taking about and also the levels of experience?
ALL vehicles must be road legal in all aspects.

There is a couple around silverdale and keele nothing to exiting if you have OS map I will give you the grid refs if any good to you,I also found some around cheadle/kingsley area but I haven't drove these but again if you want the ref numbers I will sort them out,just let me know
