Looks like you all had a good day. I didn't finish work till 10am Sunday morn. Thanks BGB for the chance to join you all. Glad it went well for most of you. Hope I will be able to tag along next time.

Sounds like you really had a good day mate. Getting stuck is all part of the day. Might even say that if you aint getting stuck, you aint trying hard enough

Getting stuck isn't part of it at all. :(. You shouldn't be trying to get stuck on greenlanes, save that for pay and play days. :(

Getting stuck with his attitude is how green lanes get torn up and closed.

Agree with BGB

I didn't say anything about getting stuck on purpose or tearing/carving up lanes. Petemcn said he bottomed out which I assumed he got a bit stuck. A bit quick off the mark there BGB, Thor and Poppy. I've been laning in one form or other since 1977 and never caused any damage. The comment to Pete was a light hearted bit of banter.

I can't blame you lads for not wanting to go up the scratchy lane and damage your paint work after you seen what it done to our paint work after we'd drove down it ;)

The way that is worded sounds like your encouraging it. Maybe thats not what you meant, but thats what it looks like.

You could not have been more wrong. The lanes you strive to preserve were there long before you were aware of them. I remember the days before fools showed them to anybody they met on the internet. A lot less lane closures in those days.

Well people do show them and its not 1977 anymore or I'd not be here yet ;)
But we do need to be a little cautious in case of infiltrators :D

Have to agree with BGB you made it sound like you are a inconsiderate towards green lanes. You are starting to sound rather strappy.

I think you'd be better considering your words a little more carefully. It now sounds like you're calling BGB a fool which I'm sure is not what you meant.....at least I certainly hope not because you couldn't be more wrong

Not calling anyone anything. Just defending my corner after being wrongly accused. The comment was to another member of LZ who I'd been laning with a couple of weeks ago and if you asked him I refused to take him to ones that may have been too muddy to avoid damage. I find it strange that I was allowed to join a tour of lanes on Sunday that in the end couldn't attend then Monday am accused of all sorts. Not getting stroppy at all. Three of you got it wrong and aint decent enough to apologise

Surely thou if the lanes weren't shown to new people there would eventually be no one to carry on looking after them and preserve them for future laners to enjoy? So surely getting new people into laneing and in the correct way as people like BGB do can only be a good thing?????

Although dont get me wrong I also appreciate that some people go with completely the wrong intentions and are looking for free pay and play days but everyone I've met through LZ seem a decent bunch who are doing things in the correct manor.
