I'm home and unpacked-had puncture just outside yeovil. Came home rinsed off mud and unpacked with assistance.

Yep.....Where you were camped up is where I've many times seen mist coming through the hedge and down across the field at dusk....which has always struck me as odd because mist usually follows water courses and natural undulations....nether of which happen to be there.
Not that the pic looks like mist....
