Well I went against general consensus on Saturday and went to have a butchers at the 04 plate disco pursuit I'd been offered a part ex against my skoda

Body work is one of the best I've seen whilst I've been searching, small scuff on front bumper, small 50 pence sized dink on osr and the clips on the bumperetts by the back door need replacing as 2 have broken.

Chassis wise, a light dusting of rust, used my hammer the whole length of it, its solid and rings nice and true no dull sounds or holes, so nothing a good wire brush and some treatment injection wont solve. in fact there's more rust on the tow bar than the chassis!

No leaks from any of the mechanicals, receipts for coolant flush, injector harness/rocker gasket change and transmission oils changed and a recent oil service and no smell of diesel in the oil.

So I went for the deal :)

So plan off action is to firstly get it booked in at infield 4x4 for a thorough check over more so in case there's something I've missed when checking it over. and a full service and completion of the MOT advisory items ( track rod and link rod play plus tracking)

One or two minor things I'll sort myself like the bumperette clips, knackered wiper blades and cracked rear wiper arm, noisy door check straps on the NSF and back door and replacement of the HID headlight bulbs system for standard bulbs

so so far so good :)

No doubt something will break sooner or later though lol

Will add some pictures later today :)
