It seems great, I've driven a fair few an this one is one of the hardest pulling I've felt, although the 200TDi Rangie was a lot more refined and definitely used less juice. No doubt it was the insulation etc rather than the engine itself that made the old girl quieter though?

Its got 40k on it, and I'm basically looking for a good 15 years out of it at least, cant wait to start getting it kitted out for a bit of off roading and camping etc.

Is there anywhere with definitive articles on mods like suspension and stuff on the www, or is it just a case of searching the forums?

This is what it replaced, still looked good, but sadly it was teabagged underneath!

I like that i do :), Roof could do with a lick of paint/T-cut though.... And unless you pressure wash the chassis after launching boats you won't get 15 years!!

How much was it if you dont' mind me asking? :)

Yeah, it could, my mates a painter, might get him to do it to match the body.

I'm not gonna reverse this one right into the sea any more, basically my previous 4x4s have all been under a grand and a case of get a few years out it and get another, now I have this which is totally solid, I hope to keep it that way, I will either rope or winch the boats into the water now.

I payed 6½ :eek:

i found mine about 70 miles to the tank full better than me old 200tdi 90 .
this is my new baby :hug: :kiss:

if you scan this forum you'll find most of the advice you need on add ons best to buy a lro or lrm magazines and salivate over the bits in the adverts then ask on here if its any good when you finmd something you fancy ;) ;)

That's a beauty mate, straight panels too! :D

A kind souls I know elsewhere has sold up and offered me 2 years worth of landy mags for the price of postage, so I'm looking forward to reading up.

I think it will be tyres/wheels first though!

what you using it off-roading and dipping in the sea ?
or just road work ?
if the former i'd get some wheels like ratty on here has (fooked if i can remember the name of um :D ) they are steel but look like alloys well cool looking too pm him he'll give ya the name of them would love a set myself but with a wife 1 teenager and 2x 90's to support aint going to happen :baby:

Off roading and towing, the trailers will now be getting dipped in the sea on the end of a long rope from now on! :cool:

I was thinking of modulars with bfg AT's, but a couple of guys I know swear by MT's, even for lots of road use. :confused:

yeah MT's for me they have pretty good manners on the tarmac and very good manners off road have had mine 3 and half years now and still 10mm of tread left on um (do a lot of road work and towing heavy tipper trailer)
only thing with um dont lift off the power in the corners (keep a ickle bit on)in the wet

Great man, thats just what I'm wanting to hear, independent opinions that they are fine on the road.

I wanna roof rack too, I have this strange idea of pitching my terra nova quazar up there! :D

yer mad! campin on top of a landie you aint got lions in scotland have you :D
i got a galvinized 3/4 roof rack for mine but refrain from using it (i'll get asked to drag all sorts crap around on it if its on there )
mainly got it for me fishing trips to france ideal to put the rod bags etc
 
Nice motor mate, is it an original CSW? Looks to be a bit of chopping and riveting going on around the bottom of the rear doors, haven't seen this before?

Just wondered if it might have been a normal van body tub cut out to take doors and seats, wouldn't be the first one I've seen done? If they're supposed to be like that my apologies however, still a nice 110!
 
Lovely looking wheels those but seem to cost an awful lot more than modulars or weller 8 spokes? Anywhere you can pick them up cheapish?
