Good Tubular Manifold?

Hey you lot, I have an issue with my standard exhaust manifold where it seems to be warpped on the end, it keeps ripping the studs out. So, I'm thinking instead of replacing it with one that's the same I'd like to get one that looks a bit better and perhaps flows better too. I see there are a few on ebay, but I've learnt my lesson before when buying from ebay as I've had some for other cars where they didn't fit, bolt holes were wrong and the whole lot didn't line up.

So can any of you recommend one that's good please? One you have perhaps or one you've fitted for someone else. A nice tubular manifold that fits and looks sweet is what I'm after :)

I've an Alisport one and it's pretty good. Had it on a Defender before that the stud nearest the bulkhead snapped and couldn't remove it at the time so just took the chance and fitted the manifold and it never leaked.




I have it fitted with a vnt turbo too and with the other mods it's doing around 200bhp.

TD5 inside and Alive used do custom manifolds too but usually if using a very different turbo and downpipe needs changing too

They're expensive enough though so getting an orginal manifold dewebed and skimmed is worth considering too and use wurth manifold studs as they rarely warp a second time unless your running alot of power and regularly see high egts if working it hard with heavy towing etc.

I warped my orginal manifold with a week of owning the Defender but Alisport one has been on it 5 or 6 years now and warped the one in my Discovery recently when was flat on the motorway rushing one of my dogs to the vets after he was shot by a nutcase neighbour :eek:
 
I fitted a dewebbed/destressed one I found on ebay was £160 i believe. Over two years now and not a hint of an issue. (Fitted with copper nuts and larger washers)

Thats with a hybrid turbo, TD5Inside tune+ and a few other bits.

Best option without breaking the bank. The only other option is Allisport.

A few have tried custom welded ones which have all failed.

Thanks you two, I had thought about getting a dewebbed one.
I'm currently running a 63mm Hybrid Turbo with an Alive Tuning stage 4 map and I never put all the power down because the first time I did the clutch ripped out lol and ever since I've been afraid.
So high EGT's I should think are the least of my worries. I'll have a look at the Alisport one I hadn't thought about those!

Does anyone know what the increase of flow is with a dewebbed one?
