You can lock your back window from outside the vehicle by putting the key in the backdoor lock (on the handle) and turning it clockwise... hold it til it reaches the top.

no need to start ignition... (pg 48, owner's handbook!)

Find out how far away you get from yer motor before the fob lock button dunt work, bout 8 meters on mine.
Then put it to the side of yer head (temple) and open yer mouth and try it, Furthest ive got is about 15 m.

Don't ye worry yer head - I am reliably informed by Mr Parts Man "The pipe in in"...despite the fact Tiny appears to have sealed the leak by voodoo in the meantime...?!?

The poor Hippo must be very frightened at the thought of a visit to the vets, having all its precious fluids drained off and then the whole vehicle gradually stripped away so that the pipe that the whole thing is built around can be changed. It's clenched everything tight and hence the leak has stopped.

Steve :)

Well looking at Clutchdusts list I still have quite a few things to look forward to if I keep running the model (1.8) that I have, but even though I have came across a few of them I think I must have got off pretty lightly over the last three years...
Hope it continues for the next three...Rock

Tops on my list has to be the road 'presense' that you get from the driving position - much better than the other 4x4's I tried

Comfy as anything

Piece of **** to drive (TD4 Auto)

Offroad capabilities that far outweigh my own capabilities (or needs)

Looks the dogs danglies

I can put the roof down when its warm

I dont even notice the caravan on the back

It pulled all the tree stumps out of my front garden without any complaint

My mates now take the **** because I look like a drug dealer (black 2 door) whereas before they took the **** that I looked like a geek (Renault Scenic)

Service so far from Land Rover Assistance has been superb (came out within 10 mins last night when I ran out of diesel and didnt take the mickey with the price - just charged me a fiver for a can! - thats rare)

All in all I love it, its a 4WD that does its job without being too ostentatious and is perfectly well mannered on the road but happy to pootle off road if required

Yep i agree with that last thread ,all this talk about gas gusslin 4x4 ,my td4 returns 34-40 mpg thats better than most cars on the roads today. . .:)

i have a 1.8 xei & love it never had any problems at all only had it 3 months tho but previous owners said the same & they swaped it for another 1.8 so must be true
.spent money on it but after market addons only
love the way it lookin & woudnt want anythink else
great looks great economy for a 4x4 & great fun to drive
