Good supplier for 7.5 x r16c tyres?

Hi chaps,
Just had the dreaded MOT on my '95 110 Defender. The good news is it passed everything...else.

But all 4 tyres failed. And i know the spare is pants.

Currently have 7.5 x r16c work tyres on. I live in SW London and the local tyre place weren't too sure on what they could get but reckoned approx 90 quid per tyre including fitting. However they said this is an old tyre format and they don't have one to match at the moment.

Has anyone had this issue? Can advise could place to source new or part worn replacement? Is there a new equivalent to this tyre size that works as well?

I'm sure that some of the Defender owners will chirp up with more information, but in the meantime take a look at http://www.tyresizecalculator.com/tyre-wheel-calculators/tyre-size-for-rim-size-width-calculator which should give you some idea of what you're looking at in modern sizes.
90 quid a corner isn't that far off pricewise for new tyres. Exactly what tyres you choose will depend on what you're going to use them for, dare I say it, but for wombling about up on Wimbledon Common isn't going to need a particularly aggressive tread pattern.
I must admit though, those signs of cracking on the tyre shown in your picture do indicate that your current set of tyres are well passed their useful life.

Definitely don't need aggressive tread. Mostly road driving with occasional off road but only shipping outdoor kit to relatively normal locations. No greenlaning for me at the moment.
The tyres i have are definitely well gone - thought it was pretty likely - as they came with the vehicle when i picked it up. Just being a cheapskate!

Lots of options plugged out as 'ideal' on that site. Anyone think a particular option is best for someone who's mainly on road with the occasional grassy/muddy field?

Michelin latitudes will fit, come as standard on the new fenders till they stopped making em.
