yep, camping mats fixed with high temp spray adhesive (the high temp bit matters if you want it to stay fixed!)

I used the same floor matting as "The Wolf" in post #9. It looks good is durable and certainly helps with overall noise levels.

I struggled to find a suitable adhesive, tried all sorts but as soon as the bodyshell got warm (remember nice sunny days) the mats would come off. I ended up using tger seal and I've not had any problems since.

For anyone who's interested and saw my earlier post with the photos this is the eBay item number for the mats I used, 140540284719. I went for the 32sq ft option which is 8 mats and only 20 quid. I did all of the wheel boxes and the rear of the internal bulkhead and I still have two whole mats and a few bits left.

Very fast delivery too, probably about a day later I got them in.

I've just got some of that closed cell foam, about 10mm thick and i'm going to cover the tunnel footwells and bulkhead with it. If it doesn't work-what the hell, looks better than the shabby paintwork and only cost £26 a roll. Might go camping first an lie on it just to get extra VFM.

Depends on what you are after. I get into mine with muddy boots and in the back I chuck all sorts in, logs, coal bags.. whatever. So, I want to keep it rough and ready.

Don't mind glueing to the side panels, but it makes far more sense to have fitted thick rubber mats for me. Easy to remove and clean.

This works a treat.

But it doesn't have to carry work gear.

Just a motor for the lad to get about in.

Edges, rear bulkhead and a strip down the centre of the roof in 3mm aluminium. Just needs blue coating removing.
