Don’t know about t cut as it’s got quite abit of oxidised on the back door and a couple little areas of damage its either leave it as is or repair areas and new rear door skin and re paint...ye I’ll need to get that cover I just looked on eBay and there isn’t any at all hmmmmmm

Wouldn’t worry to much about the heat shield, I run my 200tdi without one and it’s fine - I wrapped my exhaust down pipe but left the turbo naked, even after a hard run on boost the bonnet doesn’t even get warm

Naked is always better

I did debate getting one of those ‘turbo jacket’ things made of some woven heat proof material but didn’t in the end as I am not sure ‘performance’ gains would be noticeable on a 200tdi and also after a few years of worryingly anc checking realised the turbo doesn’t actually heat up the bonnet

Some of today’s jobs there were 5 holes to get sorted for mot.....don’t mock the welds it was hard laid on the floor trying to weld it up inches from your face
