Going to get some HD hood sticks made, anyone want some..?

I've had this idea...

I want some hood sticks but I would also like to be able to use them as a ladder / surfboard / timber -rack when I haven't got a tilt on.

I also wanted to be able to have the first hoop up on it's own for when we go shooting in my mate's fields (yeee-haaaa).

So my mate (who's a bit of a top-notch fabricator) is going to make me some: using 3mm gauge pipe; threads on the bottom of the corner pipes so they will bolt down; diagonals on the front hoop so it will stand-alone;front to back bars fitting into sleeves in the hoops for extra rigidity. All cold galved and powder coated.

Anyone else interested in a set? Would be looking at about £400 all in, although maybe a bit cheaper if there's a few of us...

I've always wondered if there are any solutions that would allow a soft-top to have a roof rack fitted, has anyone ever seen anything like that?

I'd be interested in something that goes over the soft-top instead....

Yeah, was thinking about over the soft-top but that would have to go up from the side rails - probably a wee bit messy. I don't ever see me needing a roof-rack on while I've got the rag top on as well...

he could probably make something like the whitbread roll cage that goes outside the soft top and has a rack you can take on and off
