Getting Hot 2.5 Diesel 1995

If it doesn't have the vent in it it is not the correct stat. Stat without a vent is as useful as tits on a Mars bar.
I have been known to get the wrong hole, atleast that's wot she sed :rolleyes:
image.jpg Haven't found any pictures of this, so to clarify for anybody pondering this in future, my intention is to make a 2mm hole in thermostat roughly where iv put the X on pic. This will be at the top when fitted to prevent any air getting trapped

Ok any hole is better than no hole at all.
 
Finally got off my backside and fitted it, set it to about 90 as a trial, the fan comes on but stays on? I must have a faulty stat as shouldn’t it cycle on and off as it goes above and below the set point?
Or am i missing something?
You are probably missing reading the stat set up instructions or it's wired wrong. I have Emailed you.
