Generic roof rack

Have a 300tdi Disco, and want to put some sort of roof bars on it.
However, have v little cash.
Ive seen a few old style roof racks (that clamp to sills) down at the tip, but I think they look too squat to reach all the way over the rear roof hump.

Has anyone on here managed to find something thats cheap and cheerful (Not fabricated by themselves, seen loads on that, and dont have the skills and equipment)

I've got 4 Thule roof bars, picked them up on eBay as 2 sets for about £20 and £30. Strangely I won the locking ones cheaper than the non locking.
I did have a roof cage I picked up off eBay for a tenner as well (which I've since sold on as it was too big for what I wanted).
And just used a couple of ally plates and m8s to clamp it into the bars. Worked well and there was no chance of it coming off.

Cheers, just got a set of Thule from ebay for £40, from a bloke just down the road. Sorted !
