HI all and a Merry Christmas.

Does anybody know if a 1.8 petrol gearbox will fit a 2ltr diesel

Which diesel? Think it may fit on an l series but Defoe not at td4

Gear ratios are different. It will be lower geared so good for laning but ****e for motorway.

K series an L series both use the pg1 gearbox and are interchangeable but have different insides

The td4 uses a different gearbox altogether, As already said

Its got a different bell housing bolt pattern as well a different final drive

Yes it will fit but won't last long. The bearings in the 1.8 box will fail due to the L series torque. The final drive ratio is also different as already said.
