Gearbox problems 2007 90

New to this forum and after some pointers please. Got half way down the road earlier and suddenly lost my gears. Horrible noise etc. Anyway, after messing around with the H/L, diff locked etc. It appears if I have the diff locked i can use the gear box. With diff lock off I can't get anything in high or low other than the Horrible rattling noise. Any ideas??

Sounds like you got a broken half shaft/cv joint. Better to ask techey questions in the defender part of the forum. Do a search it’s common.

We usually like pics here to drool over. Even if it is broke.
