P38. 1999 (T) 4.0L owned for 16 years.

Anybody know what the part number is or even if its called that?

I'm having a hell of a job trying to find one.

I don't know where you can get one, but there are many standard sensors that would do the job as a work around, otherwise, like the pump a breaker is your best chance IMO.
