4.6 Thor set up.
I've noticed the box is kicking down way before I get the throttle to 100%. Take this scenario. Your doing 60mph and come to a steep hill you push on the gas and it drops one gear which is perfect but you want to get a bit of a squirt on so press the accelerator to close 70% open but the instant I open the gas that much she cog another gear down and then scream up to red line where it changes up. They're s no need for it to kick down the extra gear. It would of pulled it easily with just the one gear drop. I'm use to kick down not coming in (the second gear drop) until you press the accelerator hard in to the carpet. Older cars I'd just adjust the kick down cable to compensate. So is they're a separate kick down switch on the throttle linkage some where? Or does the gearbag ECU use the TPS sensor?
