But gaiter/cover will not fit over it. It's an eye sore to me and ****es me off so much that I had to do something about it. With the box rebuild I'll replace the existing gear stick housing and pin.Pic of the reverse gear can help with box identification.
Your clutch arm has had rod wired in, not unusual saves messing to put it in place after fitting box.
That bolt holding stick from turning not standard but guess does the job.
I thought so. No worries then. I've decided to go full hog on the parts and therefore get what is available from synchro gearboxes. At £850 for nearly everything needed it is just bliss! £1,000 in parts for a total rebuild isn't bad. Try doing this with a modern car!! I think the wires alone would cost just as muchNo, that is just the casing molding batch number in pic above. The suffix is the one in your first pic on the edge of transfer box.

If in good state I'll have it.Think I’ve a spare in
Excellent! I only need the housing with the grub screw. What do you want for them? This was off my S3 suffix D box , the stick snapped (not that uncommon) fortunately not far from home and luckily I had a spare box
I guess you just need the aluminium bit, the grub screw unscrews nicely and the old stick should remove ok View attachment 311502View attachment 311503
