Hi guys just to let you all know what I've been up to.
today I have replaced all the gas struts on my car and thought I would give you all some feed back to is it worth doing
in a word (NO) apart from the boot.
glove box
stops the glove box from hitting your passengers knees, but for with its worth and the hassle, tell your passenger to bloody move.
cubby box lid
also not worth doing, it does stop the lid from closing down on your fingers its easy to install.
the top part of the strut pops off with a flat blade to remove the captive washer, the bottom pivot needs a dremmel to remove the shoulders from the rivet, you can re use the rivet.
I might if I can be bothered try and make the lid run a little smother to see if I can get the lid to pop up when you press the button
boot gas strut
this is well worth doing, now I can use the bit of wood I used to prop the blood thing up :hysterically_laughi
bonnet struts
bugger it I have replaced all the other ones so what the hell
and on that note as I have not ballsed up anything or flattened my battery or buggered up the car with my nanocom unit, I think I have done well.
:rolly:
that said my bloody (alarm fault) message came back today to I have now disabled the alarm :5bseeya:
