The C5 is a lovely vehicle, with the Hydractive 3+ suspension rides like a magic carpet, with the 3.0 v6 HDi it is effortlessly fast, but at ~170,000 miles now, it's starting to eat a bit of money.
There's one job looming that I'm simply dreading, the back half of the main hydraulic supply pipe front to rear is terminally rusted, it's a brakep pipe with fancy, propriatery ends on it, runs over the fuel tank, along the floor, is sandwiched between the front subframe and the floor pan, before disappearing into the mirky spaghetti on the bulkhead and innerwing.. The replacement part is a smidge over £320, and will require dropping the front subframe, the steering rak, and the fuel tank, while having the enigne haning on a beam, which blocks access to the firewall / inner wing.
