PRESSURE RELIEF THERMOSTAT
Aka, Pressure Release Thermostat, from relaible sources they were a retrofit, as Powertrain were certainly not fitting these to 1.8's back in 2001 off the production line.
The PRT just so happens to be in a remote location, in other words........ is not in the original stat housing which sits close to the engine.
The remote thermostat, funnily enough is in a remote location, yet it is not a PRT.
