Er, I've just noticed something. I think Minger cross referenced your reference to your daughters dick' in another post & completely missed the point (and the rest of the sentence) Slob.........oh, and I fear totally failed to recognise the irony in the camo' cushions post's, unless he's employing double irony, which I seriously doubt. Leads me to only one conclusion: He must be related to you know who.....Mr Runferprez' Brightspark? C'mon, at least in spirit if not Geneaology.
One other thing worthy of note. As I remember Minger did entice us in here with his emotive, initial tractor post. We didn't as I remember venture down here often before that & if we did, we generally tried to be helpful.......ish (apart from taking the odd good natured, irresistible snipe).
We previously, generally had the common courtesy not to bother our shiny motor driving chums & got on instead with offering answers to the kind of problems you might expect for a 20+ year old vehicle that's still basically going strong & may well outlive us all.
When we did venture down from the top of the board (& I think I speak for us all?) it did become fairly apparent that a vehicle so much newer yet apparently designed for much the same basic purpose as our venerable tractors (ie, a vehicle not needing to rely on tarmac in order continue forward motion) shouldn't, given it's undeniable initial (and seemingly subsequent) cost, be suffering from such common, recurring, often terminal & always expensive faults.
Well, now we're here, seemingly more virulent than bird flu & able to slag off Freelanders so much more effectively & with considerably more wit than Ming can manage with his general approach of "you're all farmers & you know you want a Freelander really".
To the former:Weeell, we may be, we may not, but if I for one was going anywhere near a farm, I know which vehicle I'd go there in & it doesn't have a computer to tell me how to drive down a hill.
To the latter: No, really, I don't want one, I can afford one, but not having a Wife or children of school age (which is mainly why I can afford one or more if I should so choose)........Why the hell would I waste my money?
Right, all that said. Hairdressers one & all.........It's been swell, but the swelling's gone down so I'm back off up the page & assure you that I shall not tarry in your forum (without invite) again.
Let's face it, you've a lot of stuff to sort out between yourselves in order to keep your motors on the road for the next month or year, let alone the next few decades without wasting your time arguing with people who's vehicle choice ran a bit deeper than vaccuous & passing fashion.
Regards,
Marcus.
