help please on my td4 2006.i have problems with the fuel rail sensor plug. driving i sometimes get a miss fire, engine dose not stop and no warning light on,i check under bonnet and play with the sensor plug then all is good for some time. i have cleaned glug connections a few times now but problem keeps happening, any thoughts please

Had this on my 2006 TD4 last week. Follow the guide on here (link already posted) to replace the harness. That will sort it. If you decide to do the sensor as well you'll need a 27mm deep socket.

Unplug the HP fuel rail connection, if it’s dirty or there’s any moisture fouling the connection really dry it out and clean it, then smear a thin bit of silicon grease on the sides of the plug so it is a moisture tight seal and plug it back together.
Mines been ok for 2 years since I did it. And am I a smug git or what?

I've just posted a Thread, 'Fuel Rail Connector', which might be of interest to you.
