There’s plenty to do I believe will try as discussed and see what happens probably won’t be until the weekend before I get the chance to carry out repairs

Further update

I have now replaced the two sender wires from the sender unit to the connector at rear of dash.

I now have the fuel gauge finally working although it may not be the conventional way of doing things but it is fixed

Well done... at the end there is no other way to fix things when a previous owner already bastardised the original circuits... cos changing the whole chassis harness on a such old vehicle might not worth the money and hassle
