Fuel gauge and warning light .

Good day

I have a defender 1990 diesel 200 tdi (2 wire sender ) . The float works with a variable resistance I’ve got my wires mixed up on the instrument panel . Can some help please colours or a diagram .
Thanks . 18 months I’m nearly there

Thanks . Got it . The variable earth had voltage on it ........ . Not good for a fuel tank lol few
