fuel filter earth strap?

hi, after removing the fuel filter and pump on my td4 i managed to snap the earth strap, i have read up that this happens nearly 100% of the time. problem being i cant rememebr where it goes? help please?

Errm one end goes to Earth tuther goes to the fuel filter/pump housing?? It can't be that Fooking difficult CAN IT??? :doh:

I just stripped some copper wire and crimped a spade connected to it. Then put the wire down inside the filter sleeve before inserting the filter into sleeve, leaving the new spade connector hanging out.
Just plug your original wire into the new plug.
Hope that makes sense.

Haven't come across a snapped one but I suppose it can break as they do tend to corrode quite badly. As already stated, an efficient replacement can easily be put together as all you are trying to do is provide a decent earth path.

I remember being s kid reading s magazine called "Mad" there was a few pages once on famous last words - like "of course they are all dead Sarge...." and "this cliff edge is solid - look ....." etc
