Fuel colour

Pump diesel is usually is this correct?

I was filling a 48gallon drum today and when i took some out when I got it home I noticed the fuel was almost fluoresent yellow looking. Now I was told that they dyed certain heating oils yellow, I know they have red or pink kero for heating so is there a yellow dyed oil.

it is just a particular manafactures dyeing

most use slightly different colours to indicate who made the fuel
