Hi hoping someone may be able to recommend where to purchase a defender front screen wiper motor for 2014 Defender 90. Thanks so much 😊

What are your symptoms that make you feel you need a new motor ?

Yes, motors are available.
Part number LRC1422
Aftermerket units cost around 1/2 of OEM (£110).

It is likely to be a wiring issue if not working at all or a 'brush' issue if only working at one speed.

Are you sure your motor is dead? Often it is seized wiper components / blown fuse/ switch issues causing

wipers just stopped working and no noise from motor at first . Then a day later went to try again and motor is making a noise took to a local garage (not defender specialist) and they put some wd40 on to see if they would release… they started to one way but wouldn’t go back and then stopped totally but motor still making a noise? Any further advise would be amazing thank you 😊

It does sound like a mechanical issue. Where did they put the WD40? I am guessing the wiper spindles [ axles the wiper arms go on and the spindle [ axle rod] goes in through the bulkhead. ]
Sounds as if wiper motor is still trying as it makes a noise [hums?] No noise likely fuse gone. Do not up size the fuse
There should be a little rubber boot just behind the wiper arm, pull back and get some light oil [ not WD] on axle where it enters the bodywork. Sometimes a helping hand on the arm with wiper switched on will get them going.
None of this gets them going you then need a better garage.

Sorry to disturb you again in your opinion would it be ok to buy and aftermerket unit over an OEM for this part? Thanks 😊
