Front wheel clicking

morning all,
2000 TD5 90, with the wheels jacked up if I rock the OSF wheel backwards and forwards I can hear it clicking once when I goes in one direction and once when it goes the other way. Is this a sign of a failing CV ?

Might be your brake pads moving in the caliper?

Had t thought of that, I’ll have another look later on.

You were right - one of the pads has some movement, probably 2-3mm.
