Morning all. Has anyone experienced buying front wheel bearings for their Disco 4? I note that the Timken ones cost about GBP250 each whereas some suppliers are offering unbranded ones at approx GBP50 for two! Seems like a crazy difference.

Many thanks all. Compromised and bought the SKF hubs. Watching the YouTube videos I am concerned about getting the existing hubs off. Hammering them off does seem brutal. Any tips or tricks appreciated. Thanks.

Hammer them off or a thin chiesel between hub/ bearing and carrier, you could do with a puller to get the driveshaft out most likely.

I bought a cheapie in a hurry and it's been fine for a while but no doubt will not last the test of time. That said, they're so easy to fit I don't mind doing that job twice for the sake of getting the car back on the road quickly.

Thanks. Was it a D4? I had a 32mm socket ready for the drive shafts and have now had to order a larger set as the nut is far larger than 32mm.
