What do you guys recommend then? Currently I just put a rope round the bumper and off we go...but I dare say if I did get properley stuck that would not be such a good idea! I already have a pin type rear tow hitch so that does the job for the rear end.
You can buy bolt on recovery points such as Mitsubishi,landrover, 4X4, OFFROAD RECOVERY POINT, on eBay (end time 24-Aug-09 17:39:48 BST) I think that looks a bit wussey and would only take a few minutes to make one up but more heavy duty. But I am not entirely sure of where to mount it. If I was to just bolt it on the bumper (as near to the front dumb irons as possible I guess) then it will be the fairly thin bumper that is the weak point - or would you not see this as an issue?
