Nope.
Basically ive only ever seen 2 DC props fitted to vehicles and they were fitted with the DC unit at the axle end. I have never googled the right way round to fit them(i don't have one and I've never needed one hence no google) That was why i asked.
The DC unit on your prop dosent look like the DC props you see available at most retailers is all.
James is the resident guru around here not me, so don't whatever you do listen to me over him

The most effective way to eliminate vibration is to fit a propshaft with a double cardon joint at the gearbox end. Even Land Rover found this essential on the Land Rover Discovery 2.
Double cardon propshafts are successful vibration cure on vehicles around 2". Beyond 2" even the double cardon joint cannot always accommodate the angle without vibration.

Press arrived and was assembled.
I thought I'd start at the easy end and pressed out the UJ.
Then seeing as teh replacement UJs had not then arrived I looked at the other (i.e. double) end.
I should have taken a closer look first
The end UJs looks normal/similar to the simple end
but the middle one has a hole through it donut style and has a bar going through the hole.
I had a quick google and found that GKN Services were local in Minworth so I gave them a call and popped over... No can do
They were really nice etc and did give the name of another company to try but it's definitely not just a simple job of pressing out the old UJs and pressing in the new ones.
So I still have a 2wd landy but on the plus side I now have a 6T press to play with

Bit more info.
I spoke to the other company who suspected it was from Scorpion Racing Products and was made from bits not suitable for the job(apparently the DC bit is for use on a PTO shaft and not designed for prop shaft speeds).
I emailed them the above pics and they confirmed it.
So new prop being sorted and hopefully I'll be back running OK next week.

Only had a low speed run round town though.
I'll see what other problems occur when I get it out on a longer higher speed drive soon I hope.

My Stage One V8 had a double cardan at the front, I looked at replacing it once - the price (in the early 90s) was £300! I tried and failed to shift the UJs myself. In the end I just left it alone and kept it well greased.
