Thought this may help a few people.
My prop shaft gaitor has split and threw oil everywhere. I went online thinking i should be able to buy a new gaitor, not so. Everyone wanted me to buy a new front prop shaft at around 250 quid. I went into my local land rover dealer today and asked if they did a repair kit, they do, it is called a PROPELLER SHAFT FRONT JOINT REPAIR KIT.
The part number is TVF000010. This is factory part number so your dealer will have to search for it.
The price is 80 quid including vat, better than buying a new prop.
 
I was given a prop shaft gaitor by MM4x4 when I bought a brand new £62 front prop off them. I forgot to put it on anyway so until I need to undo the prop it will stay off. How does it throw oil everywhere anyway?? ... all it does is give the sliding joint a little protection from crap!
