L322 Front prop replacement

Hi guys,
Just had an MOT on my old girl and she has slight play in the front prop (Mr MOT Man) must admit that I did think about a week ago I started to hear a slight knock when taking off quickly from a standing start. Not at home at present so cannot look at Rave so has anyone replaced a front prop recently or is there a bush or doughnut on the front that just may need replacing. Any help appreciated. By the way it lives another year just this 2 rear sway bar links and a small oil leak, although I have no oil on my drive or using any !!!

Its a long time since i had mine off but there is updated spline link that connects to the front diff that was a recall and the end that connects to the transfer box has a rubber connection

The front propeller shaft is a one piece unit, connected to the transfer box by a flexible rubber coupling and mating
with the front differential unit via a splined shaft.

There's a picture of the difference between the original and replacement the recall was for on here somewhere. Been posted a few times. If you're going the scrappy route make sure it is the right one!

Yes, definitely worth checking that your car has had the Q041 Service Action update, otherwise it’s not surprising that the spline is wearing. Surely there aren’t any L322s left on the road, though, still running the old shaft design?

No looked this weekend and it has the updated version on so think it will be a replacement also nice to see that one of the bolts was sheared when replaced!!
