Freelander 1 Front lower wishbone

Hi folks,

I plan to change the lower front wishbones soon (worn OSF ball joint and assiciatiated knock), with the suspension arms showing surface corrosion; condition of wishbone bushes Unknown.

Massive difference in price between OEM from Rimmers and aftermarket from the same supplier - £170 versus £30 each. Before tax. :(

Read some horror stories regarding poor quality aftermarket stuff (finger of shame pointed at Britpart and Bearmach).

I'd really like to use OEM, but the price is off putting! What is everyone's experience - who's parts bought from where?

Delphi are OE for the FL1. These are about £65 ea.
Lemfórder are later LR OE at around £95 ea.
I've used both without an issue.

I have use TWR in the past. The ball joint boot split after 2 years. While not the end of the world, it shouldn't have happened.

I haven't (yet) seen Lemforder at £95, but not seen Delphi? Will have a search: £65-95 I am prepared to pay for parts that'll last. I'll also check out the LR trade shop :)

I'll let you know how I get on!
 
Land River trade supplies are very competitive, but not sure whether these are aftermarket or not (almost certainly are)

Not sure about Delphi, but according to the all-knowing oracle that is the eBay search engine, Firstline are genuine OE for RBJ500680 and RBJ500690? Does this brand/manufacturer ring a bell with you guys?

As far as I can tell. Firstline are box shifters.
Delphi were definitely the OE fitted LR and Rover parts.
