They do vary between cars. Some are easily shifted some aren't. Correctly fitting sockets and a long lever are the option I choose.

Yeah when I first tried to undo mine I split my socket. Then I broke my breaker bar. Changed to my reserve items...... Said a few nasty words and off the bleeding thing came. God knows how tight it was though!

I try to use sockets that are for air ratchets they are much stronger for that sort of thing, I have broken many ordinary sockets in the past.

I only had a regular 32 mm 6 side socket available at home at the time. I then used my old halfords pro 12 sided socket and the bloody thing coped with it. Then I saw arronmorris on good ole landyzone was selling some sockets so I got a set off him. But the britpart driveshaft I fitted at the weekend had a 36mm nut! The only 36mm tool I have is a spanner which is no good for hub nuts. So I have been forced to use the old nut until I get a 36mm socket.

as long as you can stake old nut i wouldnt worry

I'm not worried it's just that it has done up to sort of the same place and where it was staked before it has split the metal which hasn't left much to knock in again... I have seen much worse before and I am sure I will again! I just wanted to use my nice new shiny nut............

Had a quick mess around with hand break this morning, adjusted it up

had a retest and :):):):):):):)

all pasted , so mot this year cost me NO £££££££s:):):):):):):)
