Front Grill Panel

How does the front grill panel attach to the wings on a one ten please?

Mine has a supporting bar which is secured at the bottom on each side with an m8 to the chassis. I've not had any issues with this.

Then it has 3 m8 bolts per side. 2 at the top and 1 at the bottom.

It feels like they screw into some captive clips. I've reattached the drivers side but I'm struggling to get the top bolts in on the passenger side and the captive end of the bottom bolt has gone altogether.

Any tips please?

Just got to keep everything loose so there’s wiggle room to get everything screwed in before tightening up. You can also just riv nut a new captive nut into the one that’s missing. Putting a nut and bolt in will make it a pain in the ass to get the grill off again.

Theyre captive nuts one broke on mine so my front panel gas a bit of play

What a total pain. I almost wish I'd never taken the panel off but it did make changing the timing belt much easier. Can't believe it's been more than 5 years since I last did it. With the engine on the floor that time.

Getting this panel back on has by far been the hardest part!

In the end I just used a cable tie on the bottom. It's not like its structural and it does have 7 other bolts

I've yet to discover the wonder of rivnuts.

I tried my best not to take the front grill off but the engine crane wouldn't lift engine high enough
