I have developed a clunk on my 2014 FL2 with 23400K on it. Its diagnosed as front right driveshaft, a common fault l believe. I will replace both....but what shafts to buy. I looked at Febi Bilstein but could only get a left. Then Borg and Beck for both. What is recomended to be fitted as the choice is huge and prices vary so much.

Thankyou in advance.

Hi,

Leave the good one where it is, just check gaiters if they need renewing, never throw a working driveshaft.

For the bad one, put an oem or genuine driveshaft, GNK I think and nothing else.
You can look at a preowned one if you want to save money they last longer than compatible ones.

For the story, compatible driveshaft are only designed to fit the vehicule, but they are undersized for the load.

I can't remember the OE manufacturer, but was like B&B or GKN. Stick with OE or premium brands, in preference to cheaper no name brands.
Has the shaft been correctly diagnosed, as a failing PTU can cause odd noises, and failure of those is more common than the drive shafts.
