Just to let people know the front diff & propshaft mod is still being done for free, just picked mine up, no charge. 52 plate 4.4 L322 on LPG.
Also got an invite on a Land Rover experience day, going to try out the new range rover!

The original design used a straight coupling from the front prop to the front diff....in true Land Rover fashion, nothing is perfectly aligned so the prop and the diff never trully lined up straight...this caused massive wear on the input splines to the diff.....

After numerous failures, LR decided to release a mod which replaces the straight coupling with a flexible one!

Thanks for all the answers, it was through your goodselves that made me aware of the issue. Mine did fail but i got away with a propshaft, just to keep me mobile & then chased Land Rover. Well worth it, it is a days job to change so labour would not be cheap or the parts!

Hi Guys,

I've just chased this up and the only modification on my Nov 2004 (Sept build) FFRR is a replacement bracket for the body kit for cars with square exhaust tips.

Thanks anyway OP :)

regards
