Front Axle Replacement

Hi, I am in the process of refurbishing 2 Discovery axles to fit to my 1990 Defender 90 Truck Cab. The rear is nearly complete just waiting on a couple of parts before rebuilding it so no problems there.

I have been looking at the front axle and the brake callipers have 2 hoses fitted to each side where the defender only has one. the question I have is can the callipers be used off the discovery axle and if not will the defender ones fit direct to the discovery axle?

Next question is I seem to think I have read somewhere that I will need front radius arms off a discovery to fit the front axle, can any one confirm this?

I have had a search but can't find anything on the brakes.

As always any help is most appreciated.

discovery 2 do you mean 300tdi disco 1, if so you can swap caliper for 300 tdi defender ones or use a y piece to feed both disco ports, you need the wider disco radius arms

The axles were supposed to be from a 1994 200tdi disco, but there is no markings on them.

Looking for a pair of Disco front radius arm if anyone can help, close to Burton On Trent if possible?

he said 2 discovery axles, not discovery 2 axles

Later Defender radius arms are the same 300tdi or very late 200tdi one's.

many thanks for that, I think I may now be sorted if V8 Discovery 1 are the same?

If they aren't there's a land rover breakers just outside Swadlincote call Alldrive, you'll have to google them for their contact details
