frelander died on me

my 2003 freelander has cut out on me while doing about 30 mph & would not start again although the engine is turning over it wont fire up, ( the diesel is getting up ok ) according to the engine management system ( i am told) there is an electrical fault, any suggestions ??? :confused: :mad:
 
Wife had the same problem, 03 Freelander TD4 driving normally, lost all power under acceleration then died, still turned over well. Recovered to our local MOT station, couldn't help had to be recovered to main dealer (£80 per hour labour) 2 hours to find the problem. 2 injectors faulty total price £750.
I've now found a guy close by who has the same diagnostic machine only difference is he lets you go home with your shirt.
The recovery man put his money on the diesel pump - he claimed these go all the time.

Just get used to it.. A mates mum bought a 52 5 door BMW engined TD4 did no more than 900 miles in it within a year and its raked up a £6000 garage bill!. :p

No offence but I'd rather have a Pajero :rolleyes: Or just stick with my Unrefined, Loud, Noisey but reliable Diesel series ;)

sensebale answer??? ffs anyone who buys a freelander dont know the meanin o the word sensible

i hear the price o scraps went through the roof best selling it to china better than burning it less fun though:D
