hello everybody,


i am from Rumania and i have a serios issue.

a Freelander diesel from 2006 is arround 7.000 EUR and a Discovery diesel from 2004 is arround 8.500 EUR.

Witch one do you think is more reliable? both are great cars and worth the money but with witch one can you do 100 K more without serious problems and of course we are speaking also about some mild off road.

thank you for the great answers. Seems to me like Disco would be the best choice alltough the Freelander 2,3 years younger.

Now if i am going to buy a 2,5 Td Disco II with aprox. 150.000 Km, what and where should i be carefull ? what should you check first when you see the car ? what should i change first after i buy it ?

Can you give some great tips, so i can go home with a great car ?

huh... i'd take a F2 (never a F1) over a TD5 D2 any day...

I've had a few F2's as hire cars for long periods of times and I've owned a D2 for about 18 months... on that experience i'd defo take the F2.
 
My thoughts on the matter are that they are completely different cars,
And a big factor to consider is what you are going to use it for

Just driving about
Towing stuff
carrying folk about
getting it dirty
Etc
