hi I am new to this forum but I got a freelander 1 v6 2.5 that needs a fuel rail replacing do I go with the plastic type similar to that already on her or do I go for an alloy one.
I have been told the one I got on there has gone brittle over time and needs replace so which is best stick with the one like I have or replace it with an alloy one

Hi, welcome to the forum.

Stick a brand new alloy one on it.

You could search out a second hand one from a scrap yard but you'll be doing it again in short order.

What made you want a V6 Freelander in the 1st place? I always fancied one TBH, it was the petrol power and the thought of a V6 that turned me on, not as much as a full on 4.6 top hatted V8 in a Range Rover Classic of course, but I did also like the thought of a more car like dive and better economy than a 4.6 RRC could ever muster lol

Hi dieseldog69 I used to have a rover 75 v6 .engines are good power plants but wanted a 4x4 so I picked up a freelander v6 2.5 es with full leather .
One ally injector rail has become available second hand fully checked and 3 month warranty. New ones aren’t cheap but then it is what it is.
I see you come from hauling my mother in law
Lives in yapton and I come from Surrey originally. Only trouble living down here I don’t get tonfratton Park much these days
