Folks,

Does anyone have any advice on servicing their Freelander at home?

I've serviced parts of my old cars before buy only simple things such as filter changes and oil changes etc.

Does anyone have such a thing as 'an idiots guide to' or anything like that?

Hi Mike.
I have recently serviced my FL 1 TD4 if you are doing the basic filter oil service not that hard really, I changed oil, air and PCV filters, changed the EGR and manifold for clean ones, only because I have spares, if I did not have spares I would have cleaned them out which would add at least 2 hours to the service.

Click the link if you need anymore advise please post and ask cheers Arctic2

PS I as of yet to post my oil change I am waiting on a good day to drop the oil again after 3 weeks of just adding oil I like to run the engine for about 3 to 4 weeks then do the oil change again, this is only because I have just acquired the car other wise I only do it every 6 months cheers Arctic2
